Cuisine American

Equipment

  • 1 glass dish
  • 1 electric/hand beater
  • 2 bowls

Ingredients

  • 2 cup Fresh Strawberries
  • 250 ml Fresh Cream
  • 4 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 full Fruit Pound Cake
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence

Instructions

  • Take 1 cup of fresh strawberries and make puree in a blender. Refrigerate the puree until further use, in a bowl.
  • Take another bowl and add 1 cup diced strawberries and coat it with 2 tbsp of sugar. Set it aside to caramelize a little.
  • In another bowl add 1 cup (250 ml) of fresh dairy cream and 2 tbsp powdered icing sugar. Add 1 tsp of vanilla essence and mix it all together with a whisk.
  • Save the half of your whisked cream in a piping bag in the refrigerator to use later
  • Take the other half and add strawberry puree to make a pink cream. You can save some of the puree to decorate the trifle later.
  • Add the pink cream in a piping bag too for easy pouring
  • Take a glass dish and make a base out of fruit cake slices
  • Top the pink cream over it and smoothen it out with a knife
  • Spread your caramelized strawberries over the cream and add another layer of cake on top of it
  • Add the white cream over it and even it out. Add some of the leftover strawberry puree and cake crumbs on the sides to decorate it. You can also garnish it with chopped nuts.
  • Refrigerate it for a few hours and serve cool. Enjoy!
