Take a bowl and soak 250 gm dates in water for 15 minutes after rinsing.
De-seed the dates after soaking them chop them coarsely and throw them in a chopper.
Chop them finely, and transfer to a bowl.
Roast your 215 gm almonds in a non-stick pan for 2-3 minutes.
Let them cool for a bit, and then transfer to the chopper.
Chop finely and then sift and set aside 2-3 tbsp almonds for garnishing your date bars.
Take the rest of your chopped almonds and add to the dates, mixing thoroughly. Make them into ball or bar shapes depending on your preferance.
Take a double boiler and add in your 1/2 cup dark chocolate, 1/2 cup milk chocolate and 2 tbsp melted butter and melt them together.
Add 1 tsp oil in the end to give a runny consistency to your chocolate sauce.
Dip your bars in the chocolate and coat them properly. Let them set in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
Once set, take them out and dip each side again slightly in remaining chocolate sauce and then the almonds to garnish its ends.
Serve them in a plate and enjoy your healthy date bars.
